Where are you Located?
All san diego surf lessons and surf camps are held in North Pacific Beach at 4850 Cass st, San Diego, California 92109 (858) 205-7683 or Ocean Beach at the end of Newport st (Orange Tent at the Beach). All the details will be included in your confirmation after you sign up for southern California best summer surf camps and surf lessons.
Where to meet?
Surfers meet each day at the San Diego Surf School surf Loading Zone in Pacific Beach Location at the end Law street (Orange Tent at the Beach) or Ocean Beach Location at the end of Newport st (Orange Tent at the Beach). 20 minutes before the surf camp starts. Surfers walk to the beach with their surf instructors. Surfers walk back to the loading zone with their instructors after surf camp. Surfers are picked up/dropped off in front of the loading zone, located at the end of law street (Next to the rest room area) in Pacific Beach or Ocean Beach at the end of Newport st (Orange Tent at the Beach).
What to bring?
Swimming suit, sunscreen, towel, t-shirt, sweatshirt and sweatpants when it is overcast or cloudy, lunch or a snack, hat and sunglasses are optional. We provide snacks and water. On Fridays we offer pizza.
Is there a swim test?
No, there is no swim test required in order to participate in our surf sessions. If you’re not the strongest swimmer we start you off easy. Our surf instructors determines swimming ability and ocean competence on an individual basis. Participants always work at their own pace and learn new skills in a supportive environment.
How early should I arrive?
Be in the area 20 minutes before our surf instructions begin  to insure a parking spot and sign your surf waiver (release form).
Where do I park?
There is plenty of public parking around the San Diego: Pacific Beach or Ocean Beach area.
How good of a swimmer do I have to be?
If you can swim with your head above water you will be all right. Weak swimmers will be kept in shallow water next to a surf instructor at all times.
Are there restrooms near by?
Pacific Beach surf and Ocean Beach locations are equipped with public restrooms and showers.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
We provide all the surf equipments (surfboards and wetsuits). You don’t need to bring a board or a wetsuit. If you have a board or wetsuit already and would like to bring it along that’s no problem. Our surf instructors can help determine if it’s right for you.
How many surf instructors do you have for each surf session?
Pacific beach surf camps and Ocean Beach Surf Camps offers a low ratio of 3 to 1 surfer to surf instructor to ensures proper supervision, personalized service and a safe summer surf camps. Each participant receives individual attention in a safe and fun environment. Our staff makes sure that you have a great time learning to surf.
Is there a cancellation policy?
Due to the popularity of San Diego surf camps and our small group sizes, a non-refundable $100.00 deposit is required to secure enrollment at San Diego surf school. Deposits are required to secure enrollment in any of our surf camps. Until we receive your deposit, the best we can do is put you on the waiting list for the surf camp which you desire. All deposits are non-refundable. Final payment for is due two weeks before the first day of your surf camp at pacific beach. No refunds will be given for cancellations.
How do I Sign up?
Our sign up process is quick and easy. Use our online registration to secure a space and conveniently pay with your Credit Card or Debit Card or if you would like to sign up by phone, call 858-205-7683. If you are under 18 you must have your legal guardian register you and fill out the release form. It’s that simple!
You may also drop off a payment of cash, check, or credit at our office. Checks should be made out to San Diego Surf School and dropped off, or mailed to: San Diego Surf School, 4850 Cass st, San Diego, CA 92109.

**All campers will receive a San Diego Surf School, personal and a group pictures, surf magazine, surf stickers and a surf t-shirt at the end of each surf camp session.
