"The YMCA Surf Camp down at Silver Strand Imperial Beach was my first introduction to surfing. I was about 8 or 9 and the week long experience gave me my first taste of riding waves but it wasn’t until 2003 when I moved to Hawaii that I really fell in love with the sport and the lifestyle. I changed my plans to go to SDSU and booked a flight to paradise. My brother had started Hawaiian Fire Surf School on Oahu and after a year of doing photography for them and learning the coasts of Hawaii from a local pro, I took over Operations Management and have been teaching lessons ever since. To date I’ve taught over 50,000 + people and I don’t see myself quitting anytime soon. I love what I do and nothing stokes me out more than showing others what surfing is all about whether it’s just for a one time experience while visiting San Diego or if you’re a local and really want to hone in on your skills. Whatever your’re looking for, the most important thing to me is that you’re having FUN! Aloha and I look forward to seeing you in the water."
