"I was born in New York and moved to Jersey at a young age. The first time I saw surfing I was infatuated with it. All I wanted to do was get a board and go surfing at the Jersey Shore. After a few years of day dreaming of going out and riding giants I finally saved up enough money to get a surfboard. So when I was eleven years old I went to a music shop in the city that happened to have a used board section in the back. I bought a 6’ 4 short board (very stupid) and the guy asked me “dude do you have anybody to teach you” I said “no” so he gave me a videotape on how to surf. I watched that video over 50 times in a three month period just waiting for the waves to show up and for my Dad to bring me to the beach. Finally I got my chance and from then on it was history. Now I live in San Diego where I can surf all day everyday. Would not change it for the world. I have been instructing for many years now and have made surfing part of my career."
