Here are some of San Diego Surf School's favorite foods that keep us healthy and energized so we can continue to enjoy doing what we love! Stay Hydrated! The most important thing that you should be putting in your body is water. It's so important to stay hydrated when you're a surfer because of the amount of energy it takes to be out in the waves. Proteins Lentils Chicken Fish Beans Chickpeas Healthy Fats Avocado Chia Seeds Peanut butter Other nut butters Carbs Quinoa Whole Grain Couscous Whole wheat bread Oatmeal Whole wheat flour pasta Fruits and Veggies You can't go wrong in this department. Just make sure you are eating the right amount of servings of fruits and to get your daily dose of natural vitamins and nutrients. No matter if you have surfed once, or every morning, it’s clear that surfing is a demanding sport on the body.
