Best date night places to enjoy San Diego

After a fun filled day at the beach there is nothing like rounding out the perfect date with a romantic sunset-and San Diego know’s how to put on a vibrant skyline. Grab a blanket, maybe some wine and cheese and enjoy a post-surfing sunset at one of these spots asking  “did you see the green flash?”

GONDOLA RIDES

Head down to Coronado for a beautifully romantic gondola ride through the Coronado Cays in a private boat, being serenaded by your own Gondolier. It’s cheaper than flying to Italy and a date you will surely remember.

CABRILLO NATIONAL MONUMENT

This historic monument marks the first European foot expedition on the West Coast.  Not only is there amazing history here but this monument offers some beautiful views, especially at sunset.

MOUNT SOLEDAD

Home to the Soledad Cross built in 1913 and a National Veterans Memorial, this landmark offers a full view of San Diego, the coastline, and romantic sunset views.  If you are looking for something a little more private, this is a quick and easy drive up to the top with plenty of space to walk around for you and your special someone!

DINNER CRUISE

Nothing says romance like a quiet dinner cruise through the San Diego harbor. You can enjoy some fine wine and dining, skyline views, and listen to your boat gently slip through the water. Dinner cruises aren’t the cheapest dinner date but if you’re interested, consider searching through Groupon (and other discount sites) to save yourself a few bucks.

SUNSET

You can go almost anywhere in San Diego and see the best sunsets! Spanning all the way south to Sunset Cliffs and all the way north to Torrey Pines, there are a ton of walking trails along the cliffs that allow you to get a little exercise while watching the sun melt into the ocean.  Romantic, simple, and costs nothing!

Looking for the best surfing experience to share with that special someone? Semi-private lessons are the perfect surfing adventure!
